This is where you will find actual physical products from 40+ years of collecting.

 

I consider what I do is "saving history". Often, the things that some consider hideous or worthless are actually the things that are worth saving. Remember, the value of something is entirely based on supply and demand. As more and more of these treasures end up in the landfill, they are gone forever. I have a bad habit of paying people for what they consider trash.

 

Although I've enjoyed these treasures during my lifetime, it's time now to pass to others. I have an eclectic collection! Sometimes I've purchased something that I don't even know what it is. I spend countless hours doing research to find out how it was used. Because my finds have varied so much over the years, they tend to cycle in and out of display in my home.

 

Each of us will get old and my children are not fond of the idea that they will "inherit" my hot mess. So I've agreed to part with as much as I can bear to sell. I know I am getting things into the hands of someone that will appreciate as I have. They have threatened to bring in a dumpster, so I have to keep a lifetime of collecting in circulation for future generations to enjoy.

I can only get so much done each day as I still work full time...so this is all done before and after work. I have collected so much over the years, there's a good chance I have something you'd be interested in.

 

It seems like there is a growing trend to decorate homes in their original styles. A resurgence of interest in mid-century modern and maximalist lifestyles (what we called hippie decor when I was young). Even glassware is making a comeback...although in very custom desires. Uranium glass and swung glass vases are becoming ever more popular. Although I don't care much for shipping these items, if you are local to my area (Piedmont/Triad of North Carolina) and you have a specific interest, feel free to reach out. I might have it.

 

Loving books as I do, my library is extensive and is yet another collection that must be downsized. Look for new books to be listed. Sometimes rare and first edition copies.

 

But what I'm most proud of are the very rare items or large collections that have been accumulated over the years. I've donated many items to libraries, historic societies, ballet companies, opera companies, and museums. My main objective is for these items I've loved to be preserved for future generations.
